I have a computer running Windows 8.1 and would like to upgrade to Windows 10 20H2. However, when I run the Media Creation Tool and try to do that, it just fails to complete that. The tool displays the message saying __P0__ VMware Workstation Pro (No-Op) – Uninstall this app now because it isn’t compatible with Windows 10. The VMware files had already been uninstalled by Avast. How can I resolve the problem?
Some users could not upgrade their devices to the new Windows 10 20H2. The downloading of update gets stucking at 35% and alters __P0__ VMware Workstation Pro (No-Op) – Uninstall this app now because it isn’t compatible with Windows 10. * First open the File Explorer from taskbar or Start menu, and select This PC.
* For 64-bit system, open the C: drive, and open Program Files (x86) folder. If your system is 32-bit version, just access the path C:\Program Files.
* Press ”V” or scroll it down till you find the entery installation folder named VMware. Select it and change the folder name “VMware” to other desired name temporarily, such as “VMBackup”.
* Return to the the error window, click “Retry” button and the Setup will continue to download 20H2 updates.
* Once the installation process has finished, re-open the Program Files (x86) folder, and rename the folder to its previous state.
Another way by removing the related cache files
* Within the File Explorer, select View > Options > Change folder and search options. Click on the View tab, check the box next to Show hidden files, folders, and drives, and click OK button.
* Go to C:\$WINDOWS.~BT\Sources\Panther, search the compatscancache.dat file and right click on it, select Delete option.
* Finally press Refresh button to continue.
